SmartHome provides a monthly payment option through Affirm, a company that can pay for online purchases in monthly installments without additional fees. You can also shop on SmartHome through your Amazon account, allowing you to use an Amazon store card and earn cashback and rewards.

Return Policy

SmartHome offers a 30-day “no-hassle” return policy on most products. To receive a refund on a returned product, you must: return the item with original packaging and any accompanying accessories, including the receipt or invoice that serves as proof of purchase, including a copy of the Return Merchandise Authorization (which is issued by SmartHome).

The return must be postmarked for delivery within 30 days of the original ship date from SmartHome. The customer is responsible for any charges for the return shipping. Refunds from SmartHome are credited back to the original method of payment used and are typically seen in the card account within seven days of SmartHome’s receipt acknowledging your return.

Some products are ineligible for refunds or exchanges. Insteon refurbished items are only available for exchange. Software Products and Custom-Etched products are considered final sales, and Direct Ship Products are not eligible for a return, exchange, or refund from SmartHome. The manufacturer must be contacted if a product is defective. All other defective items from SmartHome are eligible for replacement at no cost to the customer.

Shipping Options

SmartHome offers free shipping for any orders $199+ (before tax) in the contiguous United States (all states excluding Hawaii and Alaska), excluding PO box addresses that are not eligible. Custom Etch products are excluded from free shipping. For items that include a “bulk weight” or “heavy” attribute, heavyweight shipping charges apply and will be reflected in your cart. Orders that do not meet the $199+ free shipping offer can calculate their shipping rate by entering your cart’s zip code. For regular, in-stock items, the delivery window is 1-5 days to arrive.

International orders aim to arrive within 1-10 days, depending on the shipping method chosen at checkout.
